On October 3, 2023, at about 4:45 a.m., a Las Cruces police officer made contact with 45-year-old Teresa Gomez, along with a passenger, 38-year-old Jesus Garcia, in her vehicle, near the 1300 block of Burley Court. The Eight Year Veteran Officer asked Gomez to step out of the car so he could ask her questions which at first she denied before complying. Gomez told the officer she was at a public housing after hours visiting a friend named Butterfly. The officer then went on to explain that she was trespassing. The officer also noted Garcia in the car was also a frequent trespasser in the area. Gomez asks if she can sit back down in the car. The officer who was writing down the information said yes but instead Gomez started the car and tried to drive away. The Officer was dragged a few feet and after backing away from the car, the officer shot three rounds. Gomez was struck and she was taken to an area hospital where she died. Garcia was not injured. He was subsequently arrested on misdemeanor and felony warrants. Gomez's lawyer and family provided the following statement: The family alleges the officer was acting rude and belittling Gomez. They also claim Gomez sped away very slowly.

Where is the riots for Terry is it because she’s a white woman because the officer could’ve use non-lethal force, or just let her drive away and identify her license plate

Let's round up all the Garcia's and the Gomez's and have them executed by hanging . That's half your problem solved.

She's a smart one, for sure, but I think the officer and Las Cruces are about to get the shit sued out of them. No way was the officer in imminent danger of death or great bodily harm standing at the side of the car. In front of it, yes, but not to the side.
Ehhh IDK... He fires right when she puts it in drive, which he wouldn't have been able to tell... so from his perspective at that point she could have gunned it and mowed him down with the car door... probably wouldn't have killed him, but he doesn't have spend the night in the hospital to accommodate some dumb bitch. It's possible it could have killed him too if he fell and she ran over his head, how would he know that in that split second. All he knows is he's getting hit with a car right at this moment.

Yo how was that even legit? He was no where even close to the car when she drove away slow as molasses running up hill in January?? I get she shouldn't have drove off and bumped the 🐽 ever so slightly but you show me the need for the use of lethal force. Why are all the cops here killing just as many people as the gang bangers?! 😡
