I went to Belsen ,rumour is the birds don't fly over the whole area of the graves in Belsen to be fair I never saw any can anybody shed any light

I've heard/read that as well and it just comes down to urban legend. Although I'm sure that at the time locals, survivors, relatives, etc. saw it as being like that.

5 weeks of marching, sometimes more, only to be shot. Fucking bastards.The shear determination to keep walking, stay alive and out from under brutal cruel hands, had to take a strength that I can't get my mind around. A walking living hell. And to be robbed of life and thrown in a hole anyway.
