A stranger in a mask entered a cafe on Pushkin Street and, threatening the cashier with an object that looked like a pistol, stole the proceeds, the press service of the Ryazan Regional Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reports.
The robbery was recorded by a video surveillance camera installed in the cafe. The recording shows that a cafe employee tried to repulse the intruder, but he behaved aggressively, smashed a shop window, knocked over the counter and cash register.
The operatives established that a 28-year-old resident of Ryazan was involved in the robbery. The intruder was found and detained.
The police opened a criminal case against the attacker under Part 1 of Art. 162 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, which provides for a punishment of imprisonment for up to eight years.
