Another post just reminded me of this. Unfortunately I had to see my brother die in horrible way and I want to know if anyone else has had to deal with this.
In July of 2000, my brother and I (I was 16, he was 18) got jumped by a gang from the shitty part of town. Long story short, my brother ended up getting dragged under a car for about 20-30 yards. I remember as the car ran him over he was going to come out the front missing him. No luck. His shirt must have caught on something under the car and he got dragged. I remember seeing him under the car with blood steaming down his face. He was making unnatural sounds. I grabbed his hand and told him I will see him in the hospital. I said “Ben, You probably just have a broken leg or something.” I tried lifting up the car myself getting nowhere. I really believed he was going to be ok. Seeing him under the car was the worst thing ever in my life. I remember a female officer told me he was not breathing. In my stupor I said,”ok, but you can take him to the hospital and revive him, right? After about 5 times telling me he was not breathing, she finally said something like, “he’s dead”. Worst day of my life ever. That was 20 years ago and I still think about my brother, Ben, every day.

sorry I keep editing, but has anyone witnessed gore of a loved one in front of them and how did you deal with it. We (myself included) joke about it which is fine, but pm me if you have had to see it in real life if it happened to a loved one.
You HAVE to grieve the right way or you will progressively get worse and worse, either deep depression or severe addiction or worse will over take you. If you stuff trauma down and dont deal with it properly your mind and body have to purge it somehow and it will come out in a terrible way. I would ask yourself why you are compelled to visit sites this this, is it to try and come to terms with it, or youre trying to de sensitize yourself.
please get some grief counseling, seriously . You must be in pain, I feel really bad you had to go thru something that painful. Your brother would not want you to go down the tubes. Get the counseling and find a productive way to honor his memory. 🌻😢

Something about a tenor saxophone played in a noire style.. you can feel the rain pushing all the bad shit back down the road and into a gutter, a little more diluted, a little bit clearer each time

Watching a love one die is the worst, when I was roughly 11 my brother had jumped into our pool, but he hit his head on the tile wall of the pool, I had to watch as his head bled into the pool and the water went red because I couldn’t swim and I didn’t have a phone at the time, about 2-3 hours later is when my parents got back and they found him floating in the pool, I still miss him man
we're just going to ignore the fact that this guy let his brother drown and float for 3 hours and didn't go to a neighbors for help or anything? cool.

I want to show the newspaper article, but I think my parents have it and I don’t want to ask them for it. I really want to show it though just for his remembrance.
It's better if you don't post personal info here, or something that might give your real name/location.

First I'm sorry about what happened to you and your brother, I understand on January this year my dad had a car accident. As I'm the oldest child it was me the one who had to drive to the place and find out what happended to him. The person who called didn't give much info about how he was so I already imagined the worst.

When I got there I saw him full of blood, unresponsive with a head injury, he was having some kind of seizure but he was breathing. Luckily he survived and got better soon despite the injuries, I swear I don't know how he's still alive as his car was destroyed and even doctors told me straight forward that he shouldn't be alive.

Anyway, I've been having problems sleeping and keep remembering that whole day every day, and keep having nightmares. Also last year my mom had a stroke and it was the same traumatic thing, that and my dad's accident had been the worst gore I experienced, and even though I watch gore from time to time it is definitely something I was not prepared or I think I thought I would react differently. Idk.

My therapist told me that this is something that I won't forget but I have to grieve, feel the pain, sadness, fear and let it go. (I hate this, but it's not like I have other options).

So sorry for your loss. You will be together again when this shit life ends. My sister killed herself with a bullet to the brain in 1985, eight days after my dad died of a heart attack. Back then I was angry, thinking her a coward. Present day: I'm old now, She had it spot on. I'm the coward, no doubt about it.

Wow that’s horrific, I’m so sorry you had to experience that. 2-3 hours is a really long time to be completely helpless xx

I fully understand it! I saw my dad dying from cancer, slow death, in 3 months he went from 120 to 60 kilos, he suffered so much! It was colon cancer, so he had to be open up and "colostomy bagged", couldn't move, couldn't eat, so he died, mostly, from hunger. He was only 47...There is no scraping off this memory, I still dream of it 4 years later - I guess there is no escaping from the uglyness of life.
