Has anyone here ever actually murdered anyone?

I'm pretty sure I haven't but I did once leave a random unconscious in a park so... maybe? One of my best friends (previously) killed his grandma though.. buried her body in her garden, stole her car, credit cards, and jewelry to support his drug habit then took off to Nevada where he was caught and arrested. I haven't reached out... I'm not a fan of people killing grandparents even if they were once like a brother. His name is James Masterson, his crime is outlined here https://www.modbee.com/news/local/crime/article3129929.html

Has anyone here ever murdered another person and either not been found guilty or was incarcerated and have a completed sentence? What was it like? What happened? What you do it again?
Yes I killed a man when I was 23.our home was broke into and my mom was attacked and raped by this man while I was in the garage.so when I got in the house the guy ran away towards the kitchen and grabbed a bread knife when he started going at my mom again I shot him he died in our living room.i was praised by family and I was proud of myself.but after a few months I started feeling really terrible as a person I felt alone like I was the only person that has killed someone and I was the only one that new how it felt.it was bad for a long time no matter how it was justified I felt that I did the wrong thing.now that I'm older it don't bother me at all matter of fact I would do it again as a grown man but not as a kid I didn't have the emotional and mental tools to handle it at that time.in an attempt to just make things right I reached out to his daughter and told her how sorry I am that the circumstances had to turn out the way they did.and she was wonderfully she was amazingly receptive and kind.and we have a great friendship now and that is what really helped me move on.
