as a hungarian, i dislike this uprising, very much so.

it was very clear from the start, that to reform communism in Hungary (which was the goal, not capitalism), the only route is through diplomatic negotiations with the CCCP.

these naive young hungarian boys, never ever stood a chance to gain independence.

because a riot, protest, “revolution”, or uprising never leads to anything productive, or long lasting.

On pic 64 is my best friend grantfather.By the way after the revolution the rigime executed all who have participated in the upriseing,even 14 years old childrens....they were executeing about 20 people/day for months.All of them hanged one by one.
