as a hungarian, i dislike this uprising, very much so.

it was very clear from the start, that to reform communism in Hungary (which was the goal, not capitalism), the only route is through diplomatic negotiations with the CCCP.

these naive young hungarian boys, never ever stood a chance to gain independence.

because a riot, protest, “revolution”, or uprising never leads to anything productive, or long lasting.

It covers this same event. Very interesting photos and goes well with the book.
