The 1979 Greensboro Massacre was a violent attack that took place on November 3, 1979, in Greensboro, North Carolina, when members of the Ku Klux Klan (KKK) and the American Nazi Party fired on a group of demonstrators during an anti-Klan rally organized by the Communist Workers Party (CWP). The attackers killed five activists and wounded ten others. Despite being filmed by news crews, the perpetrators were acquitted in both state and federal trials.

- James Waller (37) – Physician and civil rights activist
- Bill Sampson (31) – Graduate student and labor organizer
- Michael Nathan (32) – Pediatrician and civil rights activist
- César Cauce (25) – Cuban immigrant, Duke University graduate
Injured
- Ten others suffered gunshot wounds or injuries during the attack. Some of them were members of the CWP and other labor activists.
