A 32-year-old councillor, Juan who was disabled and required a wheelchair, was shot dead whilst heading home.

A 17-year-old, accused of being the shooter, was arrested near a gas station with a revolver in his possession. The teenager had been linked with dissidents of the 36th front of the now-defunct guerrilla group FARC for around six months.

Another man, who drove the teenager away from the scene on a motorcycle, remains uncaptured.
