In our family nearly all male relatives are fallen in WW2. My father, who served in the Waffen SS, told me unbelievable stories from the eastern front. Since childhood I'm fascinated in military and history, and therefor I like the war threads of DeathHand .

The guy who designed the Counter Insurgency programme, Col. Steele and his young Protege David Patreus ran these squads,Patreus learned from Steele and guess who showed up in Baghdad in 05ish? Yep James Steele now a Civvy, set up the special Commando units which where mostly Sadr's Mahdi Army.

The similarities when you look at the 2 are like a page from the same book.
