Flight MH 17 with 280 passengers and 15 crew just crashed over Ukraine.
The plane was going from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur.
It appears to have been shot down from the ground.

The boeing 777 had passengers from the following countries:

• 154 from the Netherlands
• 27 from Australia
• 23 from Malaysia
• 11 from Indonesia
• 6 from Ukraine
• 4 from Germany
• 4 from Belgium
• 3 from Philippines
• 1 from Canada

Cor Pan, reportedly a Dutch passenger on the downed Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17, made a joke about the flight on Facebook before taking off Thursday morning.

He posted a photo of a Malaysia Airlines plane with the caption: “If it disappears, this is what it looks like.”

It couldn't have been a personal rocket. Since the plane was at a high elevation. It's believed to have been shoot down by a missile.
