The fourth kind. I liked that film but it fell short of how good I think it could’ve been. The white owls were creepy/pretty cool.

The second coming of the messiah and the demons that want him dead.
A cop in mexico gets involved with tattooed ex-priest and a american parnanormal investigator to save a little boy from being murdered.
Pretty good horror starring Tobin Bell from the SAW series as the tattooed priest. Spanish and english are present throughout the film.
There are a few moments of CGI but its limited use and reliance on practical effects make for a worthy watch. The third act was where things kinda ground to halt but there was enough going on to still keep it interesting.
It didn't pull any punches with some of the imagery which was nice.

The 3 burials of Melquiades Estrada - When Estrada (played by Julio Cedillo) is accidently shot dead by a Border Controlman, his friend, a modern cowboy played by Lee Jones captures his killer(played by Barry Pepper) and forces him on a bizarre trek by foot and by horse with the corpse to Mexico to give his friend the burial he wanted. A lot of themes play out here in the story friendship, revenge... Solid work from Jones(who is also the director of the film)and Pepper. 9 out of 10.

Poor Pretty Eddie(1975) - A young jazz singer's(Liz Wetherly)road trip takes a wrong turn, car breaks down, and ends up near an isolated lodge run by a faded startlet(Shelley Winters)and cocky, volatile country singer Eddie Collins(brilliantly played by Michael Christian) Great southern Gothic exploitation sleazefest. Slim Pickens, Ted Cassidy round out the cast. 8/10
