When someone is that close to the front of the truck the driver can not see her. He sits far enough back from the windshield that the angle makes it to where he's looking right over the top of her. And if she's coming from the right side it makes it even harder for him to see her..... Only if she's tall enough to actually be in the windows view would he be able to see her.

The driver wasn't at fault. There can be no reasonable expectation of a person darting in front of his truck this way, and furthermore, she was entirely out of his viewing range.
