Warning: Children 7yr old girl crushed by truck while trying to cross and mother freaks out

Warning
I am a class a commercial truck driver and this is my worst nightmare. I don't think I would ever be able to drive again. Horrific!
The child walked right into the trucks blindspot I think. I have never driven one of those piece of shit trucks but it appears to have a fatal flaw in the design. No kick panel windows and a large flat broad front.

It is procedure That as a driver, you are not allowed to move the vehicle whatsoever following any kind of accident.
I understand that, though I doubt any trouble would come if you moved the vehicle a foot to get it off of the person under the tire. I have investigated a few and I know I would not find fault with it. Though my quoted comment was that the mother was screaming when it was already too late. The kid wasn't going to get up and walk that one off.

Yeah they probably wouldn't trip if you moved forward to at least get the person out from underneath your tire but once you hit a person it is officially an active crime scene. so depending, they may use it against you.
I don't know, i have never been through it but my bosses have explicitly told me first, don't hit anyone or cause major damage because the company may never recover (what am I supposed to do with that info) and if you ever god forbid, hit a person,
shut it down immediately, dont move, stay in your cab, and wait for police.
and never speak to the police.
