I believe that one group didn’t care for the other one and they expressed that through the give and take of a small piece of ground roughly in the middle. One of members from the group on the left decided he would lead a charge to retake several feet he felt was wrongly taken. He likely hoped to extinguish the life of one of his foes just as his brain was compromised. There were some others in the back but they were just lending moral support to their ground taking front-liners.
