Serious Help! I'm Losing My Atheism

many theories out there, heard death is just like before you were born (if you can remember that). Out of all the theories, reincarnation resonates the most. We all have had probably many iterations of living different lives and getting reprogrammed with a clean slate each new life. Definitely do not buy heaven/hell theory, if heaven was real we would already be there. Religion is made up by man, 100%. Spending time in nature is my religion, not listing some dude spew bullshit for 2 hours on a Sunday morning.

From ashes to ashes, from dust to dust. You'll rise again, in this I'll trust. You're in our hearts, 'till the end. We will meet again, depart my friend.

would explain bouts of de ja vu. get a flash back. of a place that no longer exists. or the feeling like youve been there before. or just a feeling of familiarity of something, you arent able to explain. but at the same time, you were someone else prior.

or maybe i should just take another hit off the bowl....

Explain to me how the expansion rate, gravity, magnetic forces were so precisely fine tuned the moment they all came into existence during the big bang? To give you perspective stretch a tape measure across the entire observable universe and set the force of gravity at a specific inch mark. If you move the force of gravity just an inch to the left or the right we dont exist. the same with the expansion rate, nuclear force, electromagnetic force and just about any law of the universe. Also if time, space and matter all came into existence at the moment of the big bang as Stephen Hawking said, then whatever created it must have been timeless, spaceless and immaterial. That is because time space and material didnt exist to create our universe out of nothing. And what is more likely, that nothing created something or that something created something? is it more likely for a house to be created by nothing or to be created a builder? Our God is a being in another dimension, outside of this one, because logically whatever created this universe is not a part of it in the same way that a builder is not part of the house he builds, imagine the horror. Call it the fourth dimension or whatever, that is where God is from, or perhaps it IS God. Think of it this way, a reality without space, time and matter would be like a mind, or a computer if its simpler to understand. Because there is no time, imagine every moment that ever was and ever will be already IS. It would be like being able to see every moment in time like a picture still, but because that would make up a lot of pics and because there is no Space in that dimension, you see them all at the same time, or perhaps at will, like in Click. There is also no matter or constraints. So in a way this is truly like being in a mind. Sure you have a brain but is your brain your mind? In this reality a mind has no constraints. This reality is a mind, with infinite power and knowledge. The ability to see everything, everywhere, all at once. BTW i was an atheist but these are all objective facts that I cant wrap my head around.
How was the universe created out of nothing? and dont tell me a fluctuating vacuum that calibrated the laws of reality by creating infinite iterations of the universe, because where does the vacuum come from, and how does it know how to set laws of nature? or that it even needs gravity? Or how can it create forces like gravity?? Im having heart palpatations thinking of this. I want a lebodomy. Willing to offer myself up if any of u wanna make a Dahmer zombie lol:4thelulz:. JK

I know I’m entering the chat late. I don’t have a theory for how this existence came from nothing or did. If you really want break your brain try considering that as far as we can tell the universe is infinite. So what’s outside of infinite? And even further, what is outside the infinite that our infinite universe is inside?
To the all conditions being perfect I have a thought that might help. Who says this is the only universe and on top of that, who says this is the first time that this or a universe has formed? I’m totally making these numbers up to illustrate a point. If there is a 1 in a billion chance of all the conditions being just right, then if one billion universes are produced through a big bang like event, theoretically one should produce life. The only other example I can think of is a password.
It would take a computer about 7 quadrillion years to crack the password “i_L0v3_P@$$w@rD3n!” with a brute force algorithm. But given 7 quadrillion years, it WILL guess it. Make sense? I like these thought exercises. If I’m reopening a stale thread I apologize. Showed in my new and thought it was cool.

This Space Cadet needs to stop contradicting himself on his beliefs, he tries to make out he's of a 'higher order' with his beliefs, yet, uses human inventive to explain it, I certainly believe there are other intelligent life forms out there & they'd have to be smarter than us, but, telling us we live in the past AND future simultaneous is over the top, I think his mind is very crowded.
Wouldn't you consider Gods mind "Very crowded"? Also what do you think ADHD means?

You do live in the future and past. Because what you see has to go thru a process before your conscience is able to receive and decipher it. Even if that process is at an almost unrecordable speed it's still happens which means what you are registering has already happened meaning it has past. This is why your body works in a predictive order because it has to anticipate what is coming in order to function where there's a processing of information happening, thus it's working in a future sense.

In*

The Bible is a book of stories, spoken over 100s of campfires before people could read or write.
If you don't know what Chinese whispers are, look it up.

I know because I'm not a fucking idiot.
There's some truth behind all stories. There was a starting point of the story where the story was entirely true. It's just finding the starting point gets more difficult as more time passes.

Why does anything even exist?
What created matter?
Or the laws of the universe?
It's mental.
How can matter, just always exist?
How can something exist always?
It makes no sense, or does it?
On the flip side, if matter wasn't constant, how is it created from nothing?
Even if the universe is in a constant cycle of big bang and big crunch which I believe that it is.
It doesn't really make any sense!😫
And here we are, the universe itself pondering it's own existence...
I kind of hope there is a God, so everything makes sense...
Maybe we are in a giants aquarium being laughed at, or in the body of a giant instead.
Mind boggling.
The question should never be asked as to why we exist because we do exist so the question serves no purpose to answer. We are the universes pondering. Its hope of finding an answer that may not exist which could cause its own demise because if the answer doesn't exist then maybe it doesn't exist to ask the question. Or maybe the answer to the question is nonexistence. If there's no reason for existence then why exist.

I agree but thinking about time is always a mindfuck. Try and think about where you are right now in time. As you think of now youve already moved further into the future, so you can never really live in the moment, as the moment is ever shifting. And if you still believe you are in the now you are really stuck in the past, as now is a thing of the past that can never be reclaimed, you can only have infinite more present moments stacked one after the other, as you mistakenly find yourself believing you are in a present long since past. The time it takes the neurons in your brain to fire to recognize you are in the present is enough time for the present to slip away, therefore i can understand why someone would say we live in the past and future. At least mentally and then physically,

Imagine being on a train, and you are keeping an eye out for a specific mark down the tracks, labelled 'now'. The moment you pass over the marker and shout out "now" indicating youre in the present, youve already moved past now and into the future, as the train is always moving forward. In fact before youve even had a chance to unpurse your lips to let out the words youve already sped past the present moment and into the next.

PS Crack is whack
And that's exactly all it is---a mindfuck, for every idea there'll be a counter idea, the fact is we do exist, we don't 'exist' in the past, it's already happened, it's past, we don't 'exist' in the future, it hasn't happened yet, we haven't got there yet, which leaves the present/now to exist in, that time frame may be only milli/seconds, a poof-teenth or less, but it is there, so how do you 'exist' if there is no present or now, this is yet another idea to the mindfuck game, it has absolutely no benefit to us on how we live our lives, but it sure can cause mental disorders to those that dwell on it too much.
Another nasty mindfuck is 'how big is the universe' the Earth is near the end of one of the spiral arms in the Milky Way Galaxy (past bumfuck Idaho) & space telescopes have found thousands of other Galaxies, maybe more, we are restricted by the telescope to 'see' further, so, how far does it really go??? The mind boggles at the distances involved, another rabbit hole.

I have also thought about the universe being a creature that we just cannot comprehend much like a germ in your gut will never know it is part of a living being. We are simply to small to comprehend the big picture.
What if God is just a rando dude out there that is host to our reality without even knowing it, just like our bodies are made of trillions of cells, minerals, chemicals and electrical impulses.. the universe is also made of a similar concoction of variables.
What if planets and suns act like the atoms of this being we call God, and galaxies make up the cells of this creature, and the combination of all this makes the form of God. Even the emptyness of space would make perfect sense since we are also mostly empty space. Gravity could be like the electromagnetic forces that keep our bodies from falling apart or passing through other matter.

On another subject i heard vivek ramaswamy say that america is not perfect because we are not gods, were human. That made me really understand why fermis paradox is so terrifying. We are fucked if were a species that has the power of the sun in their hands, and is able to create things that are far smarter and more capable than us with the most destructive possibilities. These are things that must absolutely be handled PERFECTLY, or they will eventually cause our demise. For that we would need to be gods. Thats why i truly think we and every intelligent species to ever exist is ultimately fucked. I now wish we had never evolved, so the truly beautiful and innocent creatures of this earth could have had a chance

I like the allegory of a monkey typing the works of shakespeare, given enough time, more. but all good points

Slow down there cowboy, lets not compare your crowded mind to God's
I actually think his mind is very much at peace.

If you were omniscient and all those thoughts crowded your head, how the fuck would you get anything done? Youd be stuck forever absorbing all that is and never be able to choose what to act on

You make good arguments on living in the past and future tho food for thought

I like that example as well

We can't create anything that's more intelligent than we are. Computers just store lots of information. AI can't logically think and doesn't have actual language skills.
Since infinity is expanding at all times, it means complete knowledge can't be ascertained. One would have to be constantly absorbing but would have no reason to act on anything since the universe works on its own.

If God wanted to experience life on Earth would He not want it to be as everyone else experiences it? Or if He wanted to experience it a billion times thru a billion different people He would not want to know anything from before. He would want to start each one as a clean slate.

@Nick Cage I was wrong, there aren't thousands of Galaxies, there are billions, if your interested 'A symphonic odyssey with professor Brian Cox' this guys the real deal on what's out in space, if you can put up with the orchestra the info he gives is unbelievable but the guys top in his field.

Also the fourth dimension has access to our conscience. Meaning there are no walls or barriers to anything in the 3rd dimension.

If God is real he is definitely a massive cunt, around 2000 years ago he was apparently doing all kinds of amazing magical shit, now he does absolutely bugger all.
That aint god, that was the miracle of prophet jesus, and god's magical shit is still there, like the rules of gravity and everything. Trust me, he is there

may peace be upon you ;; as a muslim I would say that atheist are the most dummest people on this planet because of their ignorance, but you dont seem like one so maybe if you are interested in knowing the all knowing creator you have to read the manual thats been given to humanity how to get to paradise for eternity, so the quran will do that dont go to other religions because they corrupted the manuals before and the quran was never corrupted its original from allah swt meaning god in all his majesty and glory worthy of all praises, and if you wonder why the quran is in arabic you will say it why is it in latin if it were descended in latin; just try it out you got nothing to lose, get a coffeee and chill out with the quran i can help if you need any information,; its all up to you
by the way dont look at the world how they are being muslims because we all know that the ones who the msm has pointed out as muslims, well they are not muslims, a good muslim is like legendary ; you may find one in a pack of thousand ;; being muslim in the begin will not be easy you will be tested by allah swt like everybody else; he will test you once you become muslim looking to you what you are willing to sacrifice for the sake of your eternal soul like for example stop lying or never steal or stop destroying your own body with alcohol ;; stuff like that ;; seeing if you will come up for the weaker person if they are in need of assistence or if you will feed the poor ,; he will put those things in your path and test you with it;;

No, you stupid black cunt. There is NO such thing as "god".

I think some people here should try meditation, I mean do it properly, then come back and say there’s nothing out there.
