We can do both at the same time and we sanction and intervened in Venezuela already. WE ALREADY HAVE SOME RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE PLACE, as well as the condition it’s in. Same with Iran.

First of all idk what you mean by “do right” by its citizens. It seems it does that to an extent already. Secondly we are sufficiently rich that we can do both, we can take care of citizens and others ESPECIALLY since we have this giant military that we’ve already spent a shit ton on let’s put it to good use I think.

Also a lot of Americans from poor background serve in this military and make money and learn skills and go to college. It’s almost a social welfare program partially, and took for social mobility for the American citizens you want the government to do right by.

oh really? like the govt is taking care of his citizens of minn with his fake health care and learing centers? and our v.a. system is all fucked up. if the govt was "taking care" of us vets,there wouldnt need to be any kind of programs set up by the rest of the citizens of this country. the govt has no interest in this country or citizens. except for your money. venezuela has its abundance of oil and minerals,of course the u.s. govt will take care of it. venezuela has something our govt is interested in and wants! people were like "trump is doing this for the drug trafficking thats going on". i call bullshit. because if he was so worried,he would have went after colombia and parts of s.e. asia and the countries that end with "stan". gullible.... and how are we "sufficiently rich". in what way that would lower the cost of living for us? everyone in this country? maybe if the govt stopped giving money to other countries our money as pay-offs and bribes,then yea. there would be less homelessness and people would have more money to spend. these poor people you talk about... sometimes have no choice but to join the military for a better life. thats a catch 22. maybe thei breadwinner worked in the mines. and the govt shut it down. left the family in despair. kid gets old enough to join and does,just to get out of that situation. not everyone is born fortunate.
