There are dead soldiers and then there are really dead soldiers. The images in this thread are of the guys who didn't just get shot and fall down dead in the grass or snow, but those who met an ugly combat-related death or when their remains met with various environmental elements, including wildlife, that turned them into horror figures.

Hard to say. He could have been hit by an FPV, partially burned in/around an armored vehicle, dead but nibbled on by little critters. Because there is no damage to his teeth or to his upper chest and uniform, I'd be thinking vermin (mice, rats) took some nibbles on his face and left eye, although it'd have taken place fairly recently to when the photo was taken (layer under the skin still red).

As with the previous images posted these are both dead Russian and Ukrainian soldiers who faired worse than others. All died during the early to late summer parts of 2022.
