Changing the subject slightly, but I spent some time on Ascension island, and they have land crabs. At certain times they have a biblical amount all over the mountain tracks, you have no choice but to drive over them... the noise.. fortunately, it only happened for me once, in a Landy, but I cried as I drove over them.. Im such a wimp. (Id even tried to shoo them off the road first but too many and they kept coming)
