Let It All Bleed Out
The UN investigating the use of cluster bombs, wow, I get it cluster bombs are devastating but their investigating the use of cluster bombs but they don't give a fuck about all the children killed. I mean it's inhumane killing that way use normal bombs to kill wtf?
The UN has a tough job trying to investigate these weapons violations. In order to fully investigate they have to put their people on the ground, which is the middle of a war-zone.

Cluster bombs are an inhuman way to kill (just like Vietnam's Daisy Cutters, Bouncing Betties, Napalm, etc). The militants are usually long gone but the rain of explosive munitions meant for the militants doesn't care and if there are only civilians to lay waste to then that's what they'll do - can't pull them back. If you're within their range, which can span 1 to 4 football fields, then there's no where to go.

Life sucked to be them but it just shows what happens when you don't have a solid and organized military, plenty of guns and a natural resource that the rest of the world wants.

Exactly. They're kinda like the ol' Daisy Cutters and yes, the smaller munitions that rain down often don't explode and can stay there for years.

In a photo explaining how they work(that you posted above) it said the ones that don't explode have a timer on them to explode them.

There is a new gen cluster bomb, produced in Wisconsin, that deploys and explodes upon hitting a hard lasered target (ie: armor). If no target and they fall to the ground they supposedly disarm themselves.

The Saudi-led coalition fighting in Yemen has long demonstrated their use of cluster bombs; much as the Syrian army has - along with the use of the dreaded barrel bombs. Various targets hit in Yemen, usually civilian areas, are often littered with cluster bomb main bodies, internal canisters and ordnance that failed to explode.

Sure learned many things in this thread about bombs etc. I pay attention to headline type shit but really don't bother. Very informative thread. These people in Wisconsin and the others that make bombs (defense contractors) must have to back up the Brinks trucks (armored trucks) to haul away all that money they get. War sure lines the pockets of these people along with the people sent there to rebuild what they destroy.

Most of these photos out of Yemen are not the greatest quality but a photographer there took some good ones for this incident.

Coalition fighter jets were targeting a water dam and a missile or two landed in the field of a nearby neighborhood where kids were reportedly playing soccer. In total, 8 people (kids, women and a man) were roasted.

A few Saudi-led coalition fighter jets targeted a bunch of small boats that locals say were occupied by fishermen. The coalition felt differently and deemed that they were transporting arms.

The bodies of a dozen or so men washed ashore but the rest could not be recovered due to hostility in the area. Several men did survive the attack.
