Mar-Apr. 2017, Koniske, Poland:
German WW2 Wehrmacht soldiers' remains were exhumed from a cemetery (Wehrmacht Ehrenhain des Friedhofes Konskie) that was used by the Germans during their WW2 occupation of Poland. The first burials took place in 1939 and continued until January 1945. The graveyard contains over 130 sets of remains. The exhumed bodies, most of whom were ID'd, were transferred to Kessel, Germany for re-burial.

In the Old Town of Kostrzyn nad OdrÄ… (Lubuskie Voivodeship) near the Filip bastion, the remains of a German soldier who died in 1945 were exhumed. His grave was discovered several months ago during cleaning works in the old town.

Mostly to re-inter them in War Graves Cemeteries and also to identify them since many of their deaths weren't recorded (many ID tags are intact and not broken in half by German ID tag collectors) on the German KIA registry. Many are also in graves that only locals know about and these are usually in fields or in a forest, while some are in the middle of cities or towns and this way they can remove them and give them a proper burial in a war grave.

Exhumation works in SteblĂłw, poviat Krapkowice (Opole Voivodeship). From the area of the parish cemetery, the remains of 59 German soldiers who died in 1945 were exhumed. Their grave formed a single-row located along the outer wall. Out of the 59 soldiers, 17 ID tags were found, along with various paraphernalia, rings and badges.
