Terrorist attacks in southern Russia: What we know so far
Gunmen kill police, priest in attacks on places of worship in Russia’s Dagestan
What's interesting is again how long it took for Russian security services to stop the attackers like the recent concert attack in Moscow where even with the Americans specifically warning them of an imminent attack in Moscow at a large social event, a handful of jihadists slaughtered 150 Russians over the course of an hour and were able to slip away before the security services could respond in the very capital city of a police state like Putin's Russia.
Makhachkala is the capital and largest city of 600,000 people of a Russian constituent republic with the highest proportion of Muslims and potential jihadist terrorists and borders known terrorist hot spots like Chechnya and the Caucuses. The 5 now dead terrorists were that badly equipped that some of them had to steal their weaponry from a police vehicle as shown on video. Yet according to RT these 5 terrorists were able to kill "at least" 15 well armed security service officers including a very senior commander over the course of several hours in different locations, and that the reason for the delay in neutralising them was Russian forces had to come from surrounding districts and cities.
It's obvious that Russia's military debacle in Ukraine and the loss of least half a million soldiers has absolutely eroded out Russia's military and security forces and spread them so thin and ill-equipped that they are utterly ineffectual. Look how Prigozhin was able to drive his mercenaries for hundreds of miles towards Moscow with Putin's only available response to flee in his plane to his most distant bunker then cave into Prigozhin's demands and pay him off with billions from the Russian State Bank.
How could Russian security in the capital of the region most likely location for a jihadist terrorist attack not almost immediately neutralise a tiny band of 5 poorly armed terrorists but let them ran amok for hours in a city with 600,000 people until reinforcements could arrive?
Something is very, very rotten in the state of Russia, and the Muslim jihadists no doubt understand how vulnerable all of Russia is to terror attacks...
