I'm sure that there are atleast a few of these images are spread out over different threads and posts. For the most part, I have not seen many of these pics posted on GG or some other gore sites (many photos get attributed to the Pacific War in WWII).
Being an avid WWI, WWII and Vietnam buff, I though it'd be nice to try and collect photos from the Forgotten War: the Korean War. I have a number of family that served in all wars, including the Korean War.
Canada, the US, Britain/Scotland, Australia, Turks, and a few other nations fought in this war and would be nice to make more folks aware of this short, but costly war.
Brief History:
"A conflict between Communist and non-Communist forces in Korea from June 25, 1950, to July 27, 1953. At the end of World War II, Korea was divided at the 38th parallel into Soviet (North Korean) and U.S. (South Korean) zones of occupation. In 1948 rival governments were established: The Republic of Korea was proclaimed in the South and the People's Democratic Republic of Korea in the North."
Set 1.
1. Bodies of 3 dead N. Korean soldiers; Yongju, N. Korea, Oct 20, 1950.
2. Arming a US Navy Corsair. 1951.
3. A British Churchill tank fires on communist positions. Feb 11, 1951
4. British members of the UN.
