One can not imagine the hatred and anger that results when your lust yearns for things that are so taboo, so forbidden, so intensely disgusted by those you love, that you have to have your target pay the price for your indulging, and then destroy him for its silence.

Eloquently put. Obviously serial killers like Dahmer, Et. Al., minds are not right & beyond their sexual preferences. That whole killing animals when they were kids stuff is weird too.
Why are there so many books & documentaries & movies about him when there are so many serial killers though?

In my experience id say gay men are kinkier than str8s..... so after a while sex would get boring so they have to keep pushing and pushing the limits........ till eventually ur raping and killing guys........... who knows though...... ive no inclination to kill or rape anyone........... a serial killer just doesnt know when to stop.

What I have come to realize, at least based on my opinion and what I read so far is that the most sadistically depraved American serial killers were all homosexuals.
With this being said, there were many other serial killers with higher kill counts, but none that I came across even come close to the level of depravity inflicted by these psychopaths.
Besides Jeffrey Dahmer, who murdered and cannibalized his victims, lets take a look at these three additional killers of young men and boys who’s savagery remains unrivaled.
DEAN CORLL - Also known as the candyman killer. Raped, tortured and murdered 28 boys with his accomplices, David Brooks and Elmer Wayne Henley Jr. This is known as the Houston mass murders.
Some of the hideous acts he committed against his victims was handcuffing them to a wooden board where he would rape and torture them.
His torture methods involved inserting large dildos into victims rectums, biting off their genitals, plucking pubic hair out one by one, and shoving glass rods into their urethras.
Corll would typically strangle his victims to death or have Wayne Henley shoot them in the head.

Hey please do not limit yourself to Netflix or google try some books also away from the computer as info is very misinformed. John Wayne Gacy failed to identify as a homosexual it was like having two sides of him. One time in prison he saw another guy blowing someone off and lost it kicked him about. It is not that serial killers are homosexuals it is that they are fighting with a lot of trauma and abuse from their childhoods, They cannot stand to face who they are so they carry out their murderous aggression on others. Jeffery dharma had a lot of baseline and midline psychosis he could not face his sexuality but found it was a way to entice his victims, He was disgusted by homophobic behavior and would act out torture as a way of defining his identity. some do get off on the homosexual side but a lot were disgusted due to the abuse they suffered at the hands of others. The rabbit hole is a very deep and dark hole into their psyche it is best to read first-hand accounts or literature from the trial or interviews, This can be easily obtained through the freedom of information act. Good post though just do not trust Netflix or media outlets as they can get a lot wrong.
There are way more straight serial killers than gay ones. And if the killing doesn't have a sexual component, it doesn't even matter.

You make some interesting points. I had not thought of the trauma angle before. Certainly all serial killers are sociopathic and it requires trauma normally to burn out the ability to empathise.
Bundy lost the love of his life and killed woman with a strong resemblance: long black hair parted in the middle.
If you could reccomend some book titles I'd be appreciative.

- Gacie's last victim
- Sins of The Brothers (highly recommend this as it's the definitive one on Ivan Milat. 'Local boy' too! as in Fellow Aussie)

I wouldn't even say alot of them are gay. It's probably closer to an even split. Homosexuals are likely targeted because they are easy targets known for going off with men and dissappearing for a bit. It's just how the lifestyle is due to it still being considered tabboo to many people and it wanting to be kept in private.
