Financial confidence doesn't come with a 15% unemployment rate or confused mixed messaging from leaders. In order to drive the economy it will require the cooperation and confidence of us all, not just Trump loyalists. A lax in lending regulations to businesses and individuals that are destined to fail is just a repeat. That doesn't encourage people like me to go out and spend money. Trumptards need the independents and democrats to make this work but most of them don't realize that, they think Maga rallies and coal are the future... meanwhile in China they've pumped their stimulus into AI, medical research, computer technology, education and automation.

I've been saving since Bannon started the deconstruction of the state and I'm going to pull a Mnuchin and buy up the bankrupt real estate of Trumptards.

Trump supporters come in many forms. You're probably thinking of the white, uneducated, rural 40% that's touted in the MSM. He's also got a wealthy elite support base who are moving things behind the scenes.

If you have liquidity, why would the outside circumstances affect your spending? I tend to stock up on supplies so this pandemic just made everyone else realize how important it is to have food/cleaning supplies on hand because they apparently only live week to week. That's not me, so I can't speak to that.

I have enough food to live the next 9 months or so without a trip to the grocery store. Hardly a Trump thing, but a "smart" thing.

I don't look at this in political terms but more on a class level. What economic class are you in? It's reflected in your income, whether you own a house or rent an apartment, spending habits. Owning versus renting. Liquidity vs. debt. Education level. Those things.

The real estate market will be at its lowest point in about two years once the foreclosures are done and people who lost homes are actually out of them.

I look for the real estate venture capitalists to pounce and scoop up all that cheap real estate in mid-size markets. Places like California and NY are outliers because the demand will always outweigh the supply.

Hoarding 9 months worth of supplies doesn't sound like confidence. I can wait a few years, the only debt I have presently is tuition for my oldest. I don't have to worry about the little one she'll get a free ride where ever she wants to go.

Don't you find it slightly concerning that the WH is now infected? Even with daily widespread testing that the rest of us aren't getting it still got in the WH, and very close to the Trump family and Pence. Three of our top health officials are now quarantined. Do you think I should rush out and be an American warrior by getting my nails done?

You didn't read what I said, clearly. I stock up on food and supplies every few months regardless. That's just being responsible. It just so happened that this time, COVID-19 became a serious thing and people started panic-buying. All it revealed to me is that I plan for months out while most people live week to week, either because they can't afford to buy in mass quantity or they don't want to.

College debt is the worst. You need to pay that off ASAP. It's going to continue to hurt your credit score.

I'm not alarmed at all about who is infected with COVID-19. I'm fatalistic about life. I've survived a few things, and I actually think I had COVID-19 back in January before it became national news. I workout on an Army post and there are soldiers who are going and coming from overseas all the time. I was sick for about 2 weeks in late January, had the flu-like symptoms and heavy lungs but didn't need to go to the hospital. I suspect there are many people in the country who actually had COVID-19 earlier and are now immune from the second wave.

No. I think the complete opposite. You should grow out your pits and bush and go cavewoman style. That would be my recommendation. Nails are overrated unless you're an escort.
