I think you’d be very shocked on how many hospital refuse homeless and have them walked off the property by security here in the US lol especially in states with poor medical to startIncorrect. An ER is obligated to treat someone with an emergent medical condition (as this clearly is) regardless of ability to pay. This fact is very well-known in the US.
They must legally treat *emergent* medical conditions. They do not have to treat non-emergent conditions, nor humor homeless drug seekers. Hospital administration is very aware of liability and what financial damage they can incur if they refuse to treat someone who then immediately dies from the condition for which they sought treatment. That is rare. If you see someone being escorted out by security, it's extremely likely they were disruptive and/or drug-seeking, AND didn't have a real medical emergency either. They will let them sit there usually if they're not disruptive.I think you’d be very shocked on how many hospital refuse homeless and have them walked off the property by security here in the US lol especially in states with poor medical to start
Fear and a healthy dose of denial.I don't understand how they let it get that bad! Fair enough you have a drug habit and probably mental health issues but that dont stop you from going to hospital.
Shooting up and lancing an abscess in a public restroom 🤮
He's going to get blood poisoning...
Sure it does. You know you won’t get a fix for your jonesing at the hospital.I don't understand how they let it get that bad! Fair enough you have a drug habit and probably mental health issues but that dont stop you from going to hospital.
This is so sad. 5 years sober in May. If you’re struggling with drugs please reach out. It gets better.
Maybe. But if it’s not for a lack on insurance, it’s due to the risk of waiting a long time for care (Canada being one of the worst offenders in that regard).Insurance??
Exactly.Incorrect. An ER is obligated to treat someone with an emergent medical condition (as this clearly is) regardless of ability to pay. This fact is very well-known in the US.
this is sooo true...Going to the hospital means he wont be able to get a fix. It seems ridiculous to non addicts...but his addiction is so strong he cant bear the thought of doing anything that would put a barrier up to getting drugs...even medical care that he desperately needs. He doesnt care if he dies. Or if his leg falls off. He only cares about drugs.
Shoot him. He’d be better off. Trust me
He probably stole from them etc. so they disowned his assI agree.. sad to see someone that low at only 19yr but it happens. Makes you wonder where his family is or if he has them. Sometimes parents can only take so much and love u from afar unless they get help.
It's from krokodil and there's nothing that anyone can do for him. It's too late.
maybe i shouldn’t do coke anymoreHe’s rotting……..
It’s way more common in the US than people think, unfortunately. If you don’t have the money, they will let you die in the street. Not all hospitals, but a lot. Which is exactly why healthcare should never be privatized. Healthcare should be a human right.I don't understand how they let it get that bad! Fair enough you have a drug habit and probably mental health issues but that dont stop you from going to hospital.
