A collection of images that I put together from various WW2 wartime videos that were shot during the German onslaught into Russia, the Ukraine, etc. The videos were from both German and Russian sources.

The images are not in any particular order.

Most, if not all, of these should be new to folks since these were not 'photos', but video grabs that I made.

I know what death smells like and you never forget it but I wonder if those guys that must have smelled it day in day out just got so used to it that they didn't really notice it anymore.

get use to it that stank hell no like smelling shit in your face,.... however as you well know it sticks in your nose for a few days so maybe.. ahh rotting flesh nothing like that smell will never forget it....

They are or were smelling it everyday though and bad smells can be gotten used to after a while.

I worked in a slaughter house for a while and the smell was rank but after the first hour of being there the smell just became normal, I am not saying I liked it but it was just something that was there.

Very nice thread DH per usual. Such A sad set where the young boy sat against the wall with the pigeon in his lap and the one with the young boy sitting next to his Mother and sibling, I can only imagine the shock he was in and what he might have been thinking.
