Did you ever read "On The Beach"? Wonderful end of the world story set in my old home town of Melbourne. This has all the hall marks.

From day 1 Russian 'losses' as reported have seemed to me to be terribly biased. To imagine a country as large as Russia with a population so many times the size with a corresponding increase in industrial capacity being pushed around by Ukraine is far fetched.

I think Russia has been very gentle with Ukraine and is simply bleeding it dry of men and material.

The longer it takes the better for Russia because they know Ukraine already lost, and all the bombs and shit the west have sent are destroyed. Even if US sends 60 billion to Ukraine it will only prolongs the suffering. EU officials are trapped in the narrative that Russia is weak and if they admit the failure they have to face responsabilities towards the member countries and its populations. Its a shitshow i know.
And US has the worst president in their history, he doesn't decide anything and step by step is dragging the northern hemisphere into total war.

It's modern warfare, dude. The bodies in the field mean much less than the ability to put decent equipment into their hands. The Russians can produce fuck-all. Whereas, Ukrainians can easily get their hands on an endless supply of much superior Western tech. For every tank Russia can produce, Germany alone (nevermind the USA and UK), can produce 30. And it won't be a pile of shit that falls apart the moment it touches a little bit of mud.

Without proper equipment and ammunition, they'll be mowed down by the thousands, which would reduce morale even further, and piss off the Russian base as sons and fathers are never heard from again.

And without food, they won't even be able to fight after just three days in the field, even if they ARE fully-stocked with weapons and ammunition. They can barely even keep their troops fed.

All of which is why it's impossible for them to launch any sort of successful offensive. The best Russia could possibly hope for, is a stalemate at their current lines. Ukraine has all the time in the world, and can just keep chipping away at the Russian lines. NATO will never withdraw support for Ukraine. No way in fucking HELL would they ever accept an enlarged Russia that continues to try to violently move west. Even if 'merkkkan republikkkunts win elections, even THEY would never accept it. They'll TALK about withdrawing support just to attract votes from their fascist base, but it will never, ever happen.

But yeah. NG burns hotter than oil does. Which means it is much more energy-dense (needing much less volume to burn the same amount of energy.) And it burns pretty damn cleanly. It also requires a lot less refining to properly use in a gas generator.

Using more gas to burn as fuel, means oil refineries can use a larger percentage of their capacity to produce other products. The US production chain has gotten a lot more efficient over the past 13 years.

We produce superior products, and more products per person than any other country in the world. AND we have a much larger population than Russia. For every tank Russia tries to produce, we can produce 12. And with "only" 2.5 times the population of Russia. Moreover, our tanks are of superior quality in every single way. Better mobility, firepower, and protection. AND we're not even mobilized for war!

I use tanks as an example here, because it's the same story with ANY sort of military equipment. Any sort of logistical tools (such as trucks, telehandlers, forklifts, airplanes, you name it! We produce far more of it, and of far superior quality)

And we have access to 90% of the world's markets to source and price the best quality and cost of raw materials! Russia only has access to 40% of the world:s market! Long-term, that's incredibly unsustainable, and it WILL bankrupt them, exactly what happened to the USSR! The Soviets thought they could compete against the US in the arms race. They miscalculated so badly, they literally collapsed and died.

This is an age-old story dating back to the late 19th century. The US gets laughed at by a military power. We just produce a shitload of modern equipment, and kick their asses. And that's all that matters:

Technological superiority, economics, industrial capacity, and logistics.

This is especially true in the 21st century. As I said in my previous post, body counts don't matter, if you can't get modern working equipment I to the hands of the soldiers.

Russians logistics got their asses handed to them in the early stages of this war. Trying to take the airfield near Kiev, and several other key points in western Ukrain. This is something all the Putin ass-kissers seem to completely forget now. That's why they FINALLY decided the only thing they can possibly do, is to dig behind a big river and sit there, rather than conduct a war that THEY started. And even then, their logistical lines are thin and shitty. They STILL can't properly feed and equip their men, and so, they're inexorably losing ground day-by-day. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
