Let It All Bleed Out
Anonymous Names Suspect

The mother of a young man whose name has been splashed all over the Internet as being the person who taunted and blackmailed Amanda Todd said Tuesday her family has been subjected to a “lynch mob” mentality and urged the public to let the police do their investigation.

The 15-year-old girl from Port Coquitlam, B.C., committed suicide last Wednesday. She had previously posted a YouTube video in which she described being the victim of years of bullying.

It started in Grade 7 when she flashed her breasts in front of a webcam, she said. The person on the other end later threatened her and circulated those images online.

This week, the loose collective of online “hacktivists” known as Anonymous, alleged that a man from New Westminster, B.C., was Todd’s tormentor. It listed an address, email address and other personal information supposedly belonging to the man.

A man with the same name appeared this week in provincial court in Surrey, B.C., where he faces charges in a separate case of sexual assault and sexual touching of a minor.

The release of his name prompted a flurry of online comments — even the creation of Facebook pages — threatening his life.

The young man’s mother said Tuesday when her son was about 14, he sent to police the names of individuals — including a man in New York — who patronized a website containing photos of young children.

She said she grounded her son and told him to stop because it was dangerous. She said she now wonders whether the people he had outed to police in the past might be seeking retribution.

Anonymous & Suspect

Amanda Todd, from Vancouver, Canada, was found hanged in her home on October 10, just weeks after she uploaded a video to YouTube detailing her horrific treatment at the hands of cyber bullies.

When she was just 12, a man in an internet chat room convinced her to flash her breasts, and a year later, he plastered a picture of the incident across Facebook.

Now in a vigilante move, Anonymous, the world's largest hacking group, has named the man allegedly responsible for the picture.

In a video posted to YouTube by Anonymous, a figure claims the group lists his personal information, including his date of birth and address.

It explains that his username appears on websites where he 'blackmailed' and gave advice to young girls. The same username is also tied to a website with a 'jailbait' photo gallery.

'[He] is an abomination to our society, and will be punished,' the Anonymous figure says.

Referring to the possibility they might have the wrong man, they add: 'At the most this is the person who did this to Amanda Todd, and at the least it's another pedophile that enjoys taking advantage of children.'

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police refused to confirm Anonymous have the right man but a spokesperson said they were aware that someone had been named.

Todd says that a year after she flashed her breasts, the man tracked her down and demanded he put on a show for him or he would expose her.

When she refused, he created a Facebook page with a list of her friends and used her naked chest as the profile photo. The picture quickly spread across the internet and among her classmates.

Also deathhand...you make it sound like kids accessing websites and tweeting etc is some kind of inevitable phenomenon that we just have to accept as life in the 20's....."kids are dealing with it????" Are you for real? If kids are dealing with this entirely manufactured reality then that's all the more reason for their stupid fucking parents to be shot in the face for not noticing that their kid's toys are turning on them! Let's just cut to the chase and buy our kids syringes and bags of fucking smack...or guns......This technology is open to abuse like any other and it's obvious that if kids are 'dealing' with it then errrrrr....time to pull the plug maybe doncha think? My kids don't have any electronic devices...they're the only kids round here who don't and funny thing is when it's a sunday and the sun is out my kids are the only ones playing outside...all the other kids are at home playing games , xbox or online....it's fucking retarded. When they DO get kicked outside they don't know what to do with themselves and their parents send them to our house coz my kids now have a reputation for being outdoor experts LOL Can u believe that shit? If kids are online and getting emotionally fucked up by this cyber-neverland then they're not qualified to BE online......I agree with you about not giving these victims sympathy though....fuck sympathy we haven't even begun to explore the possibilities of pragmatism yet!!
Halfway agreed.
BTW how old are your children, revolva?

Lolz, I'm thinking about kids that told/tell their parents, "Hey ma, or pa, or whatever you people are...I have nasty porn nakie girlie magazines under my mattress and I jerk off every night! Even better, you loser parents, I now jerk off to internet porn...FAP, baby! What ya gonna do about it, huh? Oh, you didn't know?"

It's like thinking that parents should be able to read their kids' minds and know what they're doing at all times because anyone with a brain knows that parents are supposed to always know what their kids are doing.

I know that when I was 12 yrs old and getting laid by a girl 3 years older than me, that my parents didn't know shit about it. Seems that I forgot to tell them.

The "parents should've known" shit is a the oldest cop out and only applies when one becomes a parent themselves (or a grown up that tells their aging parents all the naughty things that they did as a teenager) and later discovers all of the shit that they didn't see.

By the way, getting fucked at 12 was awesome - it was the unexpected baby that fucked it all up.

I didn't grow up with shit like Facecrap, Twitter, and texting, etc. But that's what kids are dealing with now. In my time, about 80 years ago, a girl screwed a guy then she got called a slut by some. It eventually went away - there was no where else to continue the bullying. Today, teens make mistakes just like any generation did: except that they get it splattered all over the internet and then get blackmailed, beat up, and continuously harassed/bullied for it: they cannot escape it.

It seems that you have misunderstood what I said. I didn't say that kids are "dealing with it" as if they just pass it off in some literal sense and accept it or that parents should - I was saying that this is something that kids today have to deal with. Read my post, above, again.

And the parents are not to blame in all of these cases: did you tell your parents every single move of your teenage life? Did you tell them when you had sex, when you got yourself off, when you cheated on a test at school, when you smoked the best bowl of hash, when you stole their liquor and puked in the kitchen sink, when you didn't eat your veggies and gave it to the dog instead, or when you kicked the shit outta some annoying little shit at school?

In most cases, the parents simply don't know.

I uh, I did. But then, my mom and I have an awesome relationship. So I'm probably an exception.

All good stuff, if it makes people feel better. But did ya not read the story? She didn't commit suicide by drinking bleach (Clorox) - she hung herself.

She did try an earlier suicide attempt by drinking bleach but that didn't kill her. She just ended up in a place where I found myself a few years ago - certified for 14 to 30 days.

Posts like this have nothing to do with gore - they're just troll posts and although all of us love our blood-splattered gore images...this is not gore and the point in posting it is lost to me.

It's called comedy in poor taste. You should try it sometime. It can feel quite rewarding, if you let it.
