The Russians invaded their country, of course your going to arm your reservists & militias, there is a world of difference between a car full of armed soldiers shooting at you & a car full of civilians with no weapons trying to avoid a war zone, it's called 'target identification' for one thing.

We don't know that the Ukrainian military was hiding among civilians at this location. The Russians were well entrenched there with a camp right behind the gas station and tanks with infantry at three locations: how did uniformed Ukrainian soldiers manage to mix in?

Ukrainian civilians attempted to flee as Russian forces moved into their area but a number of them were shot and killed in their vehicles and some on foot along their only escape route, on the Zhytomyr highway. Involved in these civilian deaths/shootings was one of two battalion-tactical groups from the 5th Tank Brigade of the Russian Army.

One group took up a position in the village of Berezivka in the Buchansk district while the second set up at a gas station near the village of Myla, also in the Bucha district, along the Zhytomyr Highway (between the villages of Mriia and Myla and officially known as the M06 highway; part of the E40 highway system).

It was the second battalion-tactical group from the 5th Tank Brigade that allegedly committed the most shootings and murders of civilians along the Zhytomyr highway. Russian tanks and soldiers were stationed behind the gas station, near and opposite it, blocking traffic in both directions.

The two Russian groups had entered the Ukraine from Belarus on March 3, 2022, heading in the direction of Kyiv. From March 4 to 25, the Russian military shot at 10 civilian vehicles, killing13 people died and injuring six.

Suspicion has been announced to the commander of the 5th separate tank brigade, who directed the cold-blooded shooting of a convoy of civilians. Investigators identified and set up a photo database of 400 Russian servicemen who committed war crimes in the Kyiv region.

“And we are talking only about those people who were driving cars. We already have evidence of the killing of civilians in nearby settlements, as well as those who tried to walk past Russian combat positions,” the head of the investigating team Oleksandr Klymovkyi said.

At the end of March, the Russian troops began to retreat under pressure from the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In order to hide the shooting of civilians, they burned cars and the bodies of people who remained there.

Shooting innocent, unarmed people who are just trying to flee is one of the lowest acts anyone can do. There is no honor in such an act. War is between professional soldiers and should stay between soldiers and never include unarmed civilians.

China and Russia are joining alliances and we should be on point. I'm no military intelligence officer but they are doing this out in the open and it is an issue of concern. This is what I can't get about China. So we do business with them. A lot. Tik Tok and otherwise.
