My apologies in advance but is this satire? I was under the impression Palestinians could not leave Gaza; there is no easy way out for them.

No not at all. They are totally free to leave and Israel issues warnings all the time before airstrikes and the like. CNN article covers this at the bottom i watched the broadcast as well.

They can't leave unless they have western citizenship. Egypt border doesn't allow them to leave, Israel border always closed. They run to UN schools for shelter and then those still get bombed by Israel.
